A Patek Philippe limited edition to celebrate Hausmann & Co.'s 200 years on 1994

1794 – 1994

An history two Centuries long for Hausmann & Co. One of the most ancient clock and watch store worldwide, a first level Company within the Italian watches and jewels industry. On 2014 it is 220 years that Hausmann & Co. operates in Rome, and we commemorate this event remembering the success of the bi-centenary celebration on 1994.

The Mayor of Rome, Francesco Rutelli, celebrated Hausmann & Co. success with a party at the Campidoglio, the historical seat of Rome municipality. This was the occasion for Hausmann & Co. to introduce a new book, called “Rome – Time Measurement”, commissioned to the historians Manlio Barberito and Antonio Martini from the Besso Foundation. The book celebrates the two century relationship between Hausmann & Co. and Rome, following a path through all the ancient, and often forgotten, clocks of the city.

Patek Philippe joined the celebration producing a limited series, of only 100 pieces, of the reference 5000 in rose gold, with a personalized bottom and an enameled white dial with breguet numbers. Patek Philippe gave to Hausmann & Co. also the chance to exhibit, for the first time in history out of Geneva, twenty among clock and watches belonging to the Patek Philippe Museum. Those watches composed an exhibition at Hausmann & Co. store in via del Corso called “Patek Philippe’s Seven Arts: the Designer, the Watchmaker, the Bracelet Creator, the Engraver, the Enameller, the Jeweler”.
