Per la settima edizione delle sue Grand Exhibitions itineranti, che negli anni hanno toccato diverse città del mondo, Patek Philippe ha scelto uno dei suoi mercati storici di riferimento: l’Italia. Dal 2 al 18 ottobre 2026, il pubblico e gli appassionati potranno vivere una straordinaria esperienza immersiva nel mondo dell’ultima manifattura ginevrina indipendente a conduzione familiare. L’esposizione, che si estende su 2.500 metri quadrati, offre un vero e proprio viaggio dietro le quinte di Patek Philippe. Sarà la più grande mostra mai organizzata dalla Manifattura, un evento accompagnato dal lancio di diverse edizioni limitate.

Erede di una nobile tradizione ginevrina, Patek Philippe ha sempre attribuito grande importanza alla condivisione della propria passione per la Haute Horlogerie. Quattordici anni fa ha così inaugurato un nuovo concetto espositivo: le Grand Exhibitions, mostre aperte al pubblico e a ingresso gratuito, pensate per avvicinare i visitatori alle creazioni, al patrimonio, alla filosofia e al vasto know-how della Manifattura. Edizione dopo edizione, il format è cresciuto in dimensioni e rilevanza, accogliendo complessivamente circa 165.000 visitatori nelle città di Dubai (2012), Monaco di Baviera (2013), Londra (2015), New York (2017), Singapore (2019) e Tokyo (2023). Per la settima edizione, Patek Philippe ha scelto Milano. Storicamente, l’Italia rappresenta un mercato fondamentale per il marchio, con un pubblico di autentici intenditori, capace di apprezzare i mestieri dell’Alto Artigianato e l’eccellenza tecnica e creativa racchiusa in ogni segnatempo. L’Italia è un Paese in cui tradizioni e artigianato sono parte integrante della cultura, e gli italiani si distinguono per il loro innato senso del design e della moda. Se a ciò si aggiunge uno spirito avanguardista, è naturale che questa clientela sia particolarmente predisposta a cogliere la ‘tradizione dell’innovazione’ che guida Patek Philippe dal 1839.

Un allestimento eccezionale

Aperta da venerdì 2 a domenica 18 ottobre 2026, la Patek Philippe WATCH ART Grand Exhibition Milano 2026 si svolgerà, come le precedenti edizioni, in un luogo emblematico della città ospitante: il Palazzo delle Scintille, recentemente rinominato CityOval, nel cuore del distretto di CityLife, il nuovo complesso esclusivo che combina spazi residenziali, direzionali e commerciali. Ultimo baluardo storico dell’area, il Palazzo delle Scintille è stato completamente rinnovato nell’ambito del vasto progetto di rigenerazione urbana. Sotto una cupola che raggiunge i trenta metri d’altezza, la mostra occuperà circa 2.540 metri quadrati dei 4.000 metri quadrati espositivi totali del CityOval. Nel cuore della struttura, Patek Philippe offrirà al pubblico e agli appassionati l’allestimento più spettacolare che sia mai stato concepito per una Grand Exhibition. Suddivisa in diverse aree tematiche, l’esposizione offrirà al visitatore un’immersione totale nell’universo di Patek Philippe, oltre all’opportunità di scoprire alcuni dei luoghi più iconici della maison ginevrina: la sede storica di Rue du Rhône, la Manifattura di Plan-les-Ouates e il Patek Philippe Museum.

L’intera collezione corrente e i mestieri dell’Alto Artigianato

La WATCH ART Grand Exhibition Milano 2026 riunirà circa cinquecento segnatempo, rappresentativi di un’incredibile varietà di competenze. I visitatori potranno ammirare l’intera collezione corrente della Manifattura, con la sua ampia scelta di famiglie e modelli per uomo e signora, dalle icone di stile ai meccanismi tecnicamente più sofisticati. Nella sezione dedicata ai mestieri dell’Alto Artigianato, le pendolette da tavolo “Dome” e gli orologi da tasca e da polso celebrano le tecniche come la pittura miniata su smalto, lo smalto cloisonné, l’incisione a mano, il micro-intarsio in legno, il guillochage eseguito a mano e l’incastonatura delle pietre preziose. Gli artigiani esperti presenti daranno dimostrazioni dal vivo delle loro abilità.

I gioielli del Patek Philippe Museum

Per l’evento milanese, una selezione di orologi uscirà eccezionalmente dal Patek Philippe Museum di Ginevra. La Collezione Antica, dal XVI all’inizio del XIX secolo, include alcuni dei più antichi segnatempo del mondo, oltre a numerosi capolavori tecnici ed estetici che ripercorrono la storia dell’orologeria. Gli esemplari della Collezione Patek Philippe permettono invece di esplorare la storia e il ricco retaggio della Manifattura.

Un incontro straordinario con i capolavori dell’orologeria

Nella sala dedicata all’ampia collezione di calibri progettati e realizzati interamente da Patek Philippe, saranno previste due nuove aree: una che illustra le fasi di produzione dei singoli componenti e una che presenta la divisione ricerca e sviluppo. Ampio spazio sarà riservato agli orologi complicati, uno dei pilastri della manifattura, con un’area denominata “Master of Sound” che riunirà gli orologi con suoneria, tra cui i più complessi in assoluto, come il Patek Philippe Grandmaster Chime con le sue venti complicazioni e lo Sky Moon Tourbillon. I visitatori avranno inoltre l’opportunità di conoscere i maestri orologiai di Patek Philippe, che eseguiranno dimostrazioni sui vari movimenti.

Una prestigiosa serie di edizioni limitate

Come nelle edizioni precedenti, anche la WATCH ART Grand Exhibition di Milano sarà accompagnata dal lancio di diverse edizioni limitate, che rappresenteranno ogni segmento della collezione Patek Philippe.

The Maison, in the occasion of the 225th anniversary of the historical watchmaking and jewellery shop, as well as of the new Patek Philippe Boutique’s opening, created an exclusive collection of timepieces, honouring the historical partner and the city of Rome.

Since 1794 Hausmann & Co. sets the time of the Capital city and Patek Philippe played with the lexical construction of the number 225 – the years of activity – to develop the entire collection:

Two The models of the collection ‘Rare Handcraft’ with cloisonné enamel dial, drawing Piazza di Spagna (Spanish Steps) and Castel Sant’Angelo: both of them are unique pieces.

Hundred The watches of the Calatrava collection ref. 5296, 50 in rose gold and 50 in white gold. The peculiarity is the indication at 12 o’clock in roman numeral.

Twenty-five The timepieces of the collection World Time ref. 5230R with guilloché central dial in red-purple, which is the distinctive colour of Rome. The indication of the city of Rome on the time zones’ dial further enriches the timepiece.

The dates marking the jubilee of Hausmann & Co. are engraved on the back or on the sapphire-crystal, according to the reference, which encloses the self-winding mechanical movements.

Calatrava ref. 5296R-016 and 5296G-017

The Calatrava collection, a limited series of fifty timepieces for each reference, introduces for this particular occasion a rose gold case with a grey sunburst dial, and a white gold case with a blue sunburst dial.
At 12 o’clock the number is in roman numeral, with an unforeseen concave shape of the indexes, especially created by Patek Philippe to celebrate the Eternal City.
The alligator straps are hand-stitched and paired to the dial, mat black and mat blue. The self-winding mechanical movement presents a central rotor in gold 21 ct. The engraving “Hausmann & Co. 1794-2019” decorates the sapphire-crystal back.

World Time ref. 5230R—013

Twenty-five pieces represent the World Time collection. Rose gold case, guilloché central dial in red-purple, with an indication of 24 time zones on a rotating ring.
The GMT+1 time zone, traditionally marked with Paris, for this special occasion is dedicated to the city of Rome, coloured in red.

The mat brown strap is hand-stitched. Self-winding mechanical movement, with a decentralised micro-rotor in rose gold. Also for this timepiece, on the back, the engraving “Hausmann & Co. 1794-2019” embellishes the sapphire-crystal.

Rare Handcraft – ref. 5098G-081 and ref. 5089G-082

The Rare Handcraft collection pays homage to two iconic places of the Capital city: Piazza di Spagna (Spanish Steps) and Castel Sant’Angelo.

The “Piazza di Spagna” timepiece displays the Church of ‘Trinità dei Monti’, surrounded by the azalea flowers adorning the famous steps during springtime.
In order to realise the precious dial, the enameler used some 65 centimetres of ultrathin gold wire, and 22 colours of enamel with 9 firings at a temperature of 820 degrees C°.
The shiny blue alligator strap is hand-stitched, the movement has a self-winding mechanical movement. The full white gold back displays the engraving “Hausmann & Co. 1794-2019”

The Castel Sant’Angelo timepiece, an iconic place in the history of Rome, enhances one of the statues of the bridge in front of the castle, known as “Angel of the plague”.
To realise this dial the artisan used some 51 centimetres of ultrathin gold wire, and 14 colours of enamel with 9 firings at a temperature of 820 degrees C°.
The shiny brown alligator strap is hand-stitched, the movement has a self-winding mechanical movement. The full white gold back displays the engraving “Hausmann & Co. 1794-2019”

The smart, modern Calatrava watch was first conceived in 1932 with the launch of the ref. 96, a model accessible to a broader public, despite keeping faith with its high craftsmanship standards. Its elegant yet understated lines drew their inspiration from the Bauhaus style and its motto is “form always follows function”. Ever since this watch’s round case became one of the Brand’s most emblematic features and has fascinated entire generations of enthusiasts owing to its extreme sophistication and discreetness.

The Calatrava weekly style

The round case, in perfect Calatrava stle, is quite surprisingly made of steel, a rather unusual choice for the Geneva Brand, and stands out for its elegant and refined design, with an applied bezel and two-tiered gently curved strap lugs.
A watch that is intended to pay a tribute to the long manufacturing tradition especially with its aesthetics: the Calatrava weekly Ref. 5212A is after all inspired by a one-of-a-kind piece made in 1955, now in the collection of the Patek Philippe Museum in Geneva.

Technical specifications

The novelties for this article don’t end with the weekly calendar, but have also involved extensive development work on the movement that graces this model, the 26‑330 S C J SE calibre. This is a brand new automatic movement, which can be viewed through the transparent sapphire-crystal inset, and is based on the 324 calibre. It is innovative for two reasons: the second pinion has been replaced with an original anti-backlash wheel system that avoids hand flutter, while the rotation of the seconds hand arbor is suspended between bearing jewels which helps reduce friction; the second innovation is the addition of the “stop seconds” mechanism which allows the balance wheel to be stopped and the time to be set with one second accuracy.

Thanks to the sixth Hausmann & Co – Patek Philippe Award, the new “ENEA energy campus” has seen the light inside the Casaccia Research Center, next to Rome. The ENEA is the Italian National Agency for New Technologies, Energy and Sustainable Economic Development.

“This accolade represents a concrete investment in the scientific research and technological innovation and it perfectly integrates in the new flow undertaken by ENEA for the development of our country” as Federico Testa, ENEA’s President, states.

“We are proud to give a contribution to this important initiative of ENEA, which will give the opportunity to students and young researchers to deepen all the main topics of energy: energy saving and efficiency, as well as renewable energy sources”, says Benedetto Mauro of Hausmann & Co.

In addition to this contribution to realise this new campus, the Hausmann & Co. – Patek Philippe Award has also assigned important recognitions to ENEA’s excellences, rewarding seven young researchers.
